After a successful 12-year career as an advertising copywriter and creative director, Dane made a permanent transition to directing. The first spots he directed were his own. So he couldn't blame the writer if they didn't turn out well. Luckily for him, they did. His 2006 Jeep Wrangler launch spot won a number of awards and was a viral hit on youtube. Dane's approach is simple, performance-based storytelling. His comedic sensibilities, conceptual thinking and experience on national accounts as a creative director allow him to bring out the potential of any script. Having dealt with tough clients and limited ad budgets doesn't hurt either. Dane's credits include spots for Jeep, American Choppers and a viral campaign for Starburst that appeared on America's Funniest Commercials in 2008 on TBS.
